Do-Over Rules
|
Here's how it works: If a Team A looses a point, they gave a "ticket"
to Team B. Team B tears up the ticket and they replay the point. And if team B wins
that important point, Team A (if they want to) can always use a ticket to "do
over" again.
Do Over Rules:
- No limit on the number of Do-Over’s purchased for the tournament
- Limit 4 tickets used per team per match
- Tickets must be purchased before entering the court
- Teams declare the number of tickets they have
to court officials prior to match.
- Teams must make a decision to use the Do-Overs
immediately after a point.
- Partners should keep the discussions short
when deciding to use a Do-over.
- Court officials should be notified when a
team uses a Do-Over Ticket.
- Tickets should be torn up as used and placed
in the court tray.
- Tickets are not transferrable to other teams.
- The losing team must turn in all unused Do-Over
tickets to the court official after each match.
- Multiple tickets CAN be used on the same point e point
- On Serves - tickets can only be used for Double Faults and the player gets two
new serves
- No Do-Overs for Set Points
- No Do-Overs for Match Points
- No Do-Overs for Finals
- No Do-Overs for Family Doubles
